A Visit from MINEDUC, for Collaboration
On 5 September 2021, Rwanda's Minister of State in charge of ICT and TVET, Claudette IRERE, paid the AISLC Academy a visit.
At the Bwiza Riverside Estate, where currently construction is underway on Phase 1 of ADHI’s affordable housing development, one can also find ADHI’s TVET academy: AISLC Academy.
Students are currently taking part in the Academy’s inaugural training year, throughout which they will be trained in innovative construction methods using Light Steel Frame. Having already completed their theoretical modules, they are now participating in the construction of Bwiza, which serves as their internship.
During her visit to the Bwiza site and AISLC Academy, the Minister spoke to many of the students about the programme, and how it will benefit their professional development. Also included in the discussions with the ADHI management team was how ADHI and the GoR can continue to work collaboratively to provide opportunities for even more students to join the academy.
